On June 27, thousands of acres of sunflowers in Yeling Village, Chengguan Town, Song County bloom in full splendor, attracting tourists to come and take photos.

In recent years, Song County has actively explored a development model combining “circular agriculture” with the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism. Yeling Village, an important area for danshen (Salvia miltiorrhiza) cultivation in the county, has long faced soil compaction and accumulated pests and diseases due to monoculture farming. This year, the village introduced a crop rotation system alternating danshen with oil sunflowers—after harvesting danshen, all fields are replanted with oil sunflowers, achieving both land cultivation and soil restoration. Currently, the oil sunflowers are in full bloom, expected to last until late July.
