Recently, beekeepers are carrying out routine summer management of their hives at Baiyan River Farm in Shanglong Village, Zhangwu Town, Yiyang County.
As a major honeybee farming county in western Henan, the region has integrated high-quality nectar resources such as forests and orchards across the county, scientifically planning apiary layouts to establish an ecological model of “comprehensive nectar sources and shared utilization.” The “fruit-bee sharing” model—combining beekeeping under forest canopies with increased income from fruit production—has helped beekeepers boost their earnings and contributed to rural revitalization.
