On December 27, 2025, at the northern bank of a rubber dam in the western section of Binhe Park in Ruyang County, plum blossoms are in full bloom, their fragrance wafting through the air, attracting many residents to come and admire and photograph them.
Ruyang County, located in the Funiu Mountain area in western Henan Province, is renowned both at home and abroad as the “Hometown of Du Kang” and enjoys the reputation of “China’s Du Kang Culture Hometown”. In recent years, while accelerating the development of the cultural and tourism industry, Ruyang County has paid great attention to improving the urban greening project, making it possible for residents to see greenery when they open their windows. The county is green all year round with flowers blooming in every season. The urban green coverage rate has reached 43.5%, and it has been awarded the titles of National Garden County and National Sanitary County. In the coldest days of winter, the plum blossoms on the north bank of the west section of the county’s riverside park are in full bloom, quietly and charmingly, with a sweet fragrance filling the air. Under the warm winter sun, the blooming plum blossoms bring the breath of spring to the cold winter.
