
On February 23rd, Meituan released the “2026 Spring Festival Consumption Insight Report”. The report shows that during this year’s Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse, Luoyang, with the theme of “Ancient Capital’s New Charm: Luoyang Spring Festival”, launched 50 distinctive activities and 4 tourism routes, and its cultural and tourism market is booming.

Among them, the intangible cultural heritage lantern festival has boosted the night tourism economy. The search volume for “night tour” and “intangible cultural heritage” across the country has increased by 21% and 34% respectively year-on-year. Luoyang’s Luoyi Ancient Town, Laoshen Mountain and Longfeng Mountain Scenic Area have made it to the top 10 night tour scenic spots in the country, with Luoyi Ancient Town topping the list.

Among the popular destinations for “taste bud tours”, Luoyang ranks second in the country, driving long queues at local soup restaurants and other characteristic eateries.
