South of Luoyang, two mountains stand facing each other, with the Yi River flowing through the valley. Walking up the stone steps of the Western Hill, you will find niches densely dotted along the cliffs. This is the Longmen Grottoes. Their excavation began in the Northern Wei Dynasty, flourished during the Tang Dynasty, and spanned over 400 years of meticulous creation, leaving behind 2,345 Buddhist niches and more than 100,000 statues. It is the world’s most magnificent treasure trove of stone carving art. At the Longmen Grottoes Academy, there is a group of people who work tirelessly to protect this heritage that has lasted for millennia.【I Restore Cultural Relics at the Longmen Grottoes】Episode 1: Routine Maintenance. 纪录片《我在龙门修文物》第一期:日常维护。#洛阳国际传播中心 #龙门石窟 #LICC 点击关注@洛阳国际传播中心
