On March 15th, three rare guests arrived at the Luoyang Mengjin Yellow River Wetland Reserve — the Reed Parrotbill, hailed as a “living fossil of birds.” As a globally endangered species, this ancient bird has been inhabiting the Earth for over 100 million years. It is highly sensitive to its ecological environment and serves as a key indicator species for assessing wetland health. Known for its melodious calls, it is also affectionately called the “Happy Little Bird.”Today, the Mengjin Yellow River Wetland Reserve has become a vital stopover on migratory routes and a critical habitat for rare bird species.3月15日,洛阳孟津黄河湿地迎来三位珍贵“客人”——被誉为“鸟类活化石”的震旦鸦雀。
