The list of the second batch of typical cases of national “Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshops” has been released, with one case from Luoyang making the cut.

On the April 16th, reporters learned from the Luoyang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism recently announced the list of the second batch of typical cases of national “Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshops”. The case of “Tang Tri-color Glazed Pottery Firing: A Colorful Rural Road Flowing with Glaze” from Luoyang Gaojia Tri-color Glazed Pottery Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop was selected.

Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) workshops refer to various business entities and production and processing sites that rely on representative ICH projects or traditional handicrafts to carry out ICH protection and inheritance, and drive local people to be employed nearby. They are effective carriers for local areas to conduct ICH protection and support rural revitalization, and have played a positive role in promoting local people’s nearby and flexible employment.

The Gaojia Sancai Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop is located in Mengjin District. It was established based on the national-level intangible cultural heritage representative project “Tang Sancai Firing Technique”. This workshop organizes intangible cultural heritage representative inheritors to hold regular professional training on Tang Sancai techniques and provides training and guidance to the surrounding residents. While promoting employment for the local people, it has also driven the development of local tourism and other industries, thus forging a path of “gradual progress, master-apprentice pairing, leading by example, and integrating online and offline” for intangible cultural heritage to contribute to rural revitalization.
