Winter Ecological Scroll: Myriad Birds Gather on the Yellow River

In the early winter, the Mengjin Yellow River Wetland National Nature Reserve presents a dynamic and harmonious winter landscape. Flocks of migratory birds dance gracefully here, either resting or foraging, adding boundless vitality to the winter Yellow River floodplain.

According to the monitoring personnel of the reserve, various migratory birds, including the national first-class protected species, the black stork, have been arriving one after another this month. Currently, over 60 species of birds have been observed in the reserve, such as the black stork, the great bustard, the black-bellied plover, the bean goose, the common cormorant, and the Siberian gull. Among them, the number of the “panda of birds”, the black stork, has reached 51. As the weather gets colder, more migratory birds will come to overwinter.
