Luoyang ranked on the list of the top 10 most popular destinations in China during the May Day holiday

During the May Day holiday, Luoyang once again witnessed a tourism and cultural consumption boom. On May 5th, Meituan Travel released the latest data, showing that Luoyang ranked among the top 10 popular destinations in the country, and LuoYi City was one of the top 10 scenic spots during the May Day holiday.

Data shows that on May 1st, many scenic spots across the country were in a “crowded” mode. Shanghai Disney Resort, Beijing Universal Studios, Wansuishan Wuxia City, Mount Tai Scenic Area, Laojunshan Scenic Area, Xi’an Museum, Xi’an City Wall – Beilin Historical and Cultural Scenic Area, the Palace Museum, Hongshan Forest Zoo, and Luoyi Ancient Town were among the top ten most popular scenic spots. Among them, Luoyang had two popular scenic spots, Laojun Mountain and LuoYi City, on the list, and their popularity continued to rise.

Nowadays, driven by diverse travel experiences such as food tours, performance tours, beachcombing tours, and county-racing tours, the public’s enthusiasm for traveling is on the rise. During this year’s May Day holiday, the popularity of cultural and tourism activities reached a new high in the past three years. According to data from Meituan Travel, the top 10 most popular destinations in the country were Nanjing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Beijing, Chongqing, Changsha, Luoyang, Wuhan, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, with Luoyang ranking seventh.

During this year’s May Day holiday, various scenic spots in Luoyang have been creating new scenes to offer unique experiences to tourists from all over the country. Luoyang Ancient City has seized the popularity of Hanfu, not only enriching the photo spots within the scenic area but also setting up more interactive NPCs and special programs such as “Flower Scattering by the Celestial Maid”, “Hu Xuan Dance”, and water screen movies to enhance the immersive experience for visitors.(Reporter Li yajun, Correspondent Jiabin)
