On August 14th, a group of outstanding young South Africans came to Luoyang for a study tour, visiting Longmen Grottoes, Dongfanghong Agricultural Museum, and other places to feel the rich historical heritage of Luoyang and get close to the industrial civilization.
With the mountains on both sides of the river and the river flowing in the middle, the scenery at Longmen Grottoes is beautiful. Under the guidance of the staff, the trainees walked around and looked at the scenery, stopping occasionally to take photos as souvenirs. “The magnificence of Longmen Grottoes exceeded my expectations,” said the 17-meter-high Lokeshana Buddha, which impressed the trainees deeply. Everyone expressed that Luoyang has a rich historical and cultural heritage, and the protection of cultural relics has achieved remarkable result.
“Are these tractors self-developed? Are they sold abroad?” In the Dongfanghong Agricultural Museum, the trainees showed great interest in the production, research and sales of the Dongfanghong tractors. By watching the historical photos, cultural relics and different models of tractors stored in the museum, they had a new understanding and a deeper understanding of the development history of Chinese agricultural machinery. The project invited nine government officials, university scholars, and youth leaders from the three northern provinces of South Africa to participate. The visit to Luoyang aims to deepen the understanding of Luoyang’s new tourism and cultural development achievements and the new urban development landscape of the new era through visiting the city’s characteristic tourism projects and conducting on-site investigations of agricultural machinery equipment enterprises.
