After the opening ceremony, the themed cultural performance “Hakka’s Return Home” was presented in splendid style. The show was divided into four chapters: Prologue “Homeland Affection,” “Leaving Home,” “Integrating into the New Land,” “Dreaming of the Homeland,” and “Returning Home.” The stage was designed to correspond to the phases of the moon, with each chapter representing a different phase: gazing at the moon to evoke homesickness, the waning moon evoking melancholy, the new moon signifying a new beginning, the waxing moon signifying hope, and the full moon signifying reunion, telling the touching story of Hakka ancestors leaving their hometowns in the south and settling down in new places, missing their hometowns, and finally realizing their dreams in their hometowns.(Reporter Li Donghui, Guo Xuguang, Sun Xiaorui, and Guo Feifei   article/photo)
