On January 12th, the first Youth Skiing Championship of Luoyang City for the 2025-2026 season kicked off at the Xixigu Ski Resort in Mengjin District. The event was jointly hosted by the Municipal Sports Bureau and Mengjin District, featuring two groups and multiple competition events, attracting over a hundred young participants. It not only represents the practical integration of “sports and tourism” in Luoyang but also contributes to the popularization and industrial development of winter sports in the city and province.
Xixigu Ski Resort covers an area of 85,000 square meters, featuring beginner and intermediate ski slopes, and is divided into ski and snow play areas. It is equipped with a comprehensive service hall, offering a one-stop experience of “eating, drinking, accommodation and entertainment”. Free shuttle buses connect the resort to Weipo · Xinxiu Ancient Village. Moreover, it offers night skiing from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., catering to the needs of different tourists and adding vitality to winter tourism and culture in Luoyang. （Reporter Meng Shan）
