Recently, tourists are fishing for crayfish by a lotus pond in Xiaohe Village, Qiupa Township, Luanchuan County, enjoying the pleasures of rural life.
Local authorities have utilized idle lotus pond resources by stocking shrimp seedlings in the ponds, establishing an ecological “lotus-shrimp co-culture” model. This has created a rural tourism destination integrating leisure entertainment and scenic countryside views, promoting integrated agricultural-tourism development through specialty aquaculture and broadening income channels for local residents.
