Longmen Grottoes Ancient Street: creates a new model of “Scenic Spot + Ancient Street” night business

As one of the key night consumption areas in the main urban area of Luoyang during this year’s Peony Culture Festival, the Longmen Grottoes area focuses on “cultural markets”.

The reporter from Luoyang Daily Media Group learned that this year, Longmen Ancient Street launched the “Peony Market, Youthful Bloom” event, creating an immersive interactive performance throughout the entire street for visitors. Sitting on the bamboo chairs featured in the “Relaxed Flower Appreciation Season”, one feels surrounded by a sea of peonies, with a romantic atmosphere everywhere. In addition, Longmen Ancient Street also offers performances by traditional Chinese music bands and spring flag parades. A number of peony-themed photo spots have been carefully set up, such as “Walking on the Flower Path and Jumping Squares”, “Peony Flower Wall”, “Peony Flower Tree”, and “Peony Flower Umbrella”, allowing visitors to experience new ways of taking photos with peonies.

As night falls, tourists wander through Longmen Ancient Street, choosing their favorite items, painting peony fans, making peony sachets, and experiencing the peony culture of Luoyang. They can also gather with a few friends, sit down leisurely, enjoy coffee and snacks, and savor the unique charm of Tang Market at Longmen. Additionally, they can experience the “Lighting up Longmen” project, and appreciate the breathtaking beauty of Longmen Grottoes under the lights, which is different from its daytime appearance.

Since the beginning of this year, the Longmen Grottoes area has relied on the cultural and tourism traffic of the Longmen Grottoes to carry out immersive performances such as ancient-style dance and guqin art performances, enhance the lighting atmosphere of the ancient street, and expand the influence of “Supreme Longmen” and “Carp Leaping over the Dragon Gate”, aiming to create a new night-time commercial, cultural and tourism consumption model of “scenic area + ancient street”.(Reporter Lilan)
