On the May 13th, the reporter learned from the Luoyang Institute of Archaeology that at the invitation of the University of Fergana in Uzbekistan, the institute will send a delegation to Uzbekistan on the 15th to carry out a joint teaching and archaeological mission lasting about 50 days, further promoting cooperation between the two sides in the fields of archaeological technology dissemination, site protection and research, and youth talent cultivation.
The relevant person in charge of Luoyang Archaeological Research Institute stated that this mission is not only a concrete action to implement the “Special Plan for Archaeological Work during the 14th Five-Year Plan” issued by the National Cultural Heritage Administration, but also a vivid practice of deepening mutual learning among civilizations and expanding cultural cooperation along the Belt and Road Initiative.
In the future, the “Fergana-Luoyang Laboratory for Heritage Conservation and Restoration” jointly established by both sides will mainly focus on addressing the protection and restoration of unearthed cultural relics. It will also carry out long-term cooperation based on the archaeological base of the Kuva Ancient City Site, contributing wisdom and strength to the protection of Silk Road cultural heritage and the development of international archaeology.
