On December 24th, inside the Lu Ban Academy of Luoyang Polytechnic of Science and Technology, students dressed in Hanfu are experiencing traditional archery. This is a vivid scene of the school’s “Intangible Cultural Heritage in Campus” activity.

Since 2023, the Luoyang Polytechnic system has introduced 15 intangible cultural heritage projects such as embroidery, ritual archery, and tie-dyeing. By building workshops, offering courses, and inviting inheritors to teach, students have been able to deeply experience traditional culture. Currently, the teaching has achieved initial success, and students’ tie-dyeing works have been transformed into cultural and creative products.

Next, the Luoyang Polytechnic plans to introduce local intangible cultural heritage projects such as Tang Tri-color Glazed Ceramics and Luoyang Palace Lanterns, further deepening students’ understanding and love for the He-Luo culture.(Reporter Zhao Shuo Correspondent Zhang Jiahuan Text and photos)
