On May 15th, the “Tea Connects the World · Meet Luoyang in Henan” event kicked off at the Nakanoshima Art Museum in Osaka, Japan.
It is learned that to celebrate the inclusion of “Traditional Chinese Tea-making Techniques and Related Customs” in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has been holding a series of “Tea and the World – Gathering” events in multiple countries since May, with coordinated promotion across various regions.
This gathering integrates a wealth of local intangible cultural heritage elements from Luoyang, creating a springtime scene of elegance with distinct regional cultural characteristics. Tang Tri-color Glazed Ceramics and Han Guan Kiln porcelain are displayed on the stands, complementing the stage design of the performance, showcasing Luoyang’s artistic heritage as a thousand-year-old capital.
The four-day “Tea and the World Gathering” combined theme tea parties, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions and immersive experiences, presenting a three-dimensional, diverse and gentle picture of the prosperous Tang Dynasty in the late spring in Osaka, Japan. Through multi-dimensional artistic expressions, it conveyed the cultural spirit of “making friends through tea, promoting harmony through tea and connecting hearts through tea” to the world.(Reporter Qi shuaihua, Correspondent Cheng sumin)
