On December 26th, the China Museum Hot Search List released the top 100 popular permanent exhibitions and the top 100 popular special exhibitions of museums across the country in 2025. The “HeLuo Civilization” permanent exhibition and the “Resplendent and Solemn – Special Exhibition of Cultural Relics from the Tang Dynasty and Famen Temple” of Luoyang Museum are both on the list.
The “He Luo Civilization” permanent exhibition is the core display of the Luoyang Museum. This exhibition takes historical dynasties as the main thread and systematically presents the evolution of civilization in the HeLuo region from prehistoric times to the Song and Yuan Dynasties. It is the core exhibition for the public to understand Luoyang’s historical status as the capital of thirteen dynasties.
“Resplendent and Majestic – Special Exhibition of Cultural Relics from the Famen Temple and the Tang Dynasty” is a major temporary exhibition launched by the Luoyang Museum this year. Focusing on the precious relics unearthed from the underground palace of the Famen Temple in the Tang Dynasty, the exhibition, in collaboration with multiple cultural and museum institutions, showcases over a hundred representative artifacts including gold and silver wares, celadon, and silk, presenting the splendid craftsmanship, artistic achievements, and the flourishing cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries during the Tang Dynasty. It unveils the social life and spiritual world of the prosperous Tang era to the audience.
According to the introduction, the China Museum Hot Search List has successively released quarterly lists of popular museums, memorial halls and art galleries across the country, as well as dozens of total exhibition lists and top ten popular exhibition recommendations this year, promoting over 500 popular museums and their exhibitions.
