On April 10th, the “Top 100 Popular Museums in China” list for the first quarter of 2025 and its extended sub-lists, guided by the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center and compiled by Museum Headlines, were released. Several museums in Luoyang City made it onto multiple lists thanks to their profound cultural heritage and public attention.
In the recently released “Top 100 Popular Museums in China” list, Luoyang Museum was successfully included, ranking 62nd. Additionally, Luoyang Museum made it onto the “Top 50 Popular Municipal Museums in the Country” list, ranking 10th.
In the list of the top 50 among the top 100 archaeological site museums, the Erlitou Xia Dynasty Capital Site Museum and the Luoyang Ancient Tombs Museum ranked 10th and 20th respectively.
It is reported that this season’s list has for the first time introduced AI big data models such as the “ChatGPT Index” and “DeepSeek Index”, combined with traditional data dimensions (such as exhibitions, education, and communication), to conduct a three-dimensional analysis of the visit popularity and online buzz of museums. A total of more than 300 museums across the country have made the list. (Reporter Liu jiayi)
