During the May Day holiday, at the Baihe Ferry section in Baihe Town, Mengjin District, Luoyang City, the Yellow River is as clear as if washed, reflecting brilliant colors of blue, green, red and yellow. The charming scenery attracts tourists to come and take photos, with self-driving vehicles lining up in a long queue.
In recent years, Mengjin District of Luoyang City has implemented ecological protection and restoration projects along the Yellow River in accordance with the idea of “treating the mountains in the upper reaches, the beaches in the middle reaches and the water in the lower reaches” of the Yellow River Basin, and in line with local conditions. As a result, the “Mengjin Blue” along the Yellow River for thousands of miles has emerged, and a characteristic cultural tourism featuring “natural scenery + Yellow River culture + leisure life” has been created. The organic integration of mountains, water, forests, roads, beaches, grass and birds along the Yellow River in the city has turned the Yellow River area into a “must-visit spot” for slow living and short vacations.
