Paper-Cutting Scroll “Silk Road Emotions Melted into Pomegranate Seeds” Tells Story of Ethnic Unity

Recently, the “Master Wang Fei Studio” of Luoyang Polytechnic College completed a 3-meter-long paper-cutting scroll titled “Silk Road Emotions Melted into Pomegranate Seeds”. This work was created by provincial-level intangible cultural heritage inheritor Wang Fei leading a team of over ten people, taking 100 days to complete.

It showcases the Silk Road stories from the Eastern Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang to Luoyang through paper-cutting art, symbolizing a 3,000-mile journey and ethnic unity. The scroll also incorporates elements such as peonies, conveying auspicious wishes.

The team also plans to present special gifts like paper-cutting display stands to the members of the camel caravans arriving in Luoyang.(Xie Nana, intern Hu Xueqin, Correspondent Wang Chenyu, Text and photos)
