Pear Industry Fuels Rural Revitalization in Mengjin

Recently, in the ten-thousand-mu pear orchard of Tielu Village, Huimeng Town, Mengjin District, tiny pears the size of thumbs are hanging all over the branches. Fruit farmers are busy with the thinning of fruits to lay a solid foundation for a bountiful harvest this year.

In recent years, Huimeng Town in Mengjin District has always regarded “Mengjin Pear” as the leading industry for the local people to increase their income and become prosperous. It has been committed to building a “Mengjin Pear” planting industrial belt, promoting the planting area of “Mengjin Pear” to exceed 12,000 mu, involving villages such as Lv Village, Shuanghui Village and Lizhuang Village, and creating a situation where “every family has a pear orchard and every household is a boss”. It is expected that this year, the local pear industry can achieve sales revenue of over 100 million yuan, injecting lasting industrial momentum into rural revitalization.
